Video Highlights of the Sevika Samiti Event
The Rashtrya Sevika Samiti held its 15th, 3 day national convention in Nagpur from November 6 to 8. (Video of the Complete Event) A total of 10,297 Sevikas from across the country including 35 Sevikas from Nepal, South Africa, Kenya, Mauritius and Sri Lanka participated in the convention. On November 6, noted Yogacharya Swami Ramdev organised an exclusive class of yoga for the participants. It included seven pranayams, some yogasans for women with his apt comments regarding swadeshi and role of women in nation building.
In his inaugural address he insisted that women need not go on begging for 33 per cent reservations. “Beggars have no choice and self-respect. If women demonstrate glare like fire, speed like air, patience like earth, coolness like water and broadness like space, they will be respected by all,” he said. He further said .. Reservations can’t help a nation grow. Power is not given but it is taken. Moreover, Swami Ramdev gave some tough love to women and told that Mothers alone are responsible for “dowry” carnage being played across the Bharat. At the same time, he also urged women to set high goals for themesleves and achieve everything they can. Ramdev Baba asks every woman to awaken Sitamata, Jijabai and Rani Jhansi in them. He inspires everyone take active role in serving the society.

Baba Ramdev is great. My dad (79 years of age) has a blind faith in him and because Baba said that Seven Pranayam is all you need, my dad stoped all Asan(yoga physical excersise) and now he can not walk much and suffering from weakness but he will just now listen to me. I am trying to go to India (I live in London) to meet with Baba so he can tell my dad to do some excersise also. My dad watches AAstha channell religiously and I keep hoping that one day Baba will say that with pranayam, yoga aasans are also very important.

Yoga and ayurveda have existed in the Indian society since the time of patanjali but by the passage of time the society had started forgetting these beliefs slowly. Swami Ramdev Ji did not do something that was new for the people but just encouraged to make yoga a part and parcel of their lives. Therefore when someone takes a bold act of restarting the old aged practice again and encourages people to engross in it then it should also be the primary duty of every individual to support such an act. On the contrary many people are opposing the acts of Swami Ramdeva. So we should be the ones who oppose those people. The ashram that Swami Ramdeva has started will continue to exist forever which will encourage not only us but also our future generations to follow up these practices. That is why we should monetary and morally supports Swami Ramdeva.
In the society today we all are in a habit of taking allopathic medicines. But how many of us do really know the contents of that medicine? The contents mentioned are just an eyewash for the people. Similarly the medicine of Swami Ramdeva is offered to the people as a medicine not as a dish. So it’s contents should not bother us when it is curing us from our problems.
Therefore personally in my opinion instead of opposing Swami Ramdev, he should be awarded with prizes like Bharat Ratna and Nobel Prize.

Ramdev is brillient, reminds me of that character ‘bal maharaj’ in A fine balance. He has all this sick and troubled people wrapped around his wicked little pinky and the more he pulls on that string more money it brings him. Amazing set up.
Hope hinduism is right about Karma and I wounder how many times he would have to come back to pay with his life as he has taken so many by giving people false hope and keeping them from a real treatment. Then again I know Darwin is right with his theory and all the people following Ramdev’s advice have only been selected and the world is better off without them.

It appears you have not experienced the beneficial effects of Yoga Pranayama in curing so called dreaded & incurable diseases. You appear to be making up your mind without first experiencing the effects of Yoga Pranayama on the mind, body & soul. It is a holistic treatment.
If you still feel that you are correct, please try it once and give it a fair trial. This should change your mind.

Baba Ramdev Ji does not ridicule Modern medicine and also recommends to keep taking modern medicine while you are using his Pranayams and Yogas. Swami Ramdev is available daily on couple of Indian TV Channels, daily for a total of around 5-6 hours, maybe a record in itself.
Swami Ramdev have not announced any plans to go abroad, as at the moment.
He is conducting the week long Yog Science non-residential camps in the north - east part of India, these days. Entry is by donor passes, available from the local organisers, who offer them locally only.
You may have to arrange all this yourselves, in advance, including for your stay & conveyance to go to his camps very early in the morning, say 3.30 AM, as the reporting time is 4.00 AM Sharp.
Swami Ramdev has largest followers in India, who get up early mornings & follow him on TV from 5.30 - 8 AM. No doubt that in India, his TV shows are having the largest TRP.
Western world is recognising this now, as most of the request for holding his week long camps are coming from Western world. Queen Elizabeth II of U K, invited Swami Ramdev to a tea party on the first day of his arrival in London, in July 2006.
As people know he cannot visit their Country/ City, even healthy people are fallowing his Yoga Pranayama regimen, as available in his DVDs, VCDs, Books & magazines etc., to keep fit.

I was not believing the claims about this great man of all times. I just watched his live performances on Asthha ahannel. When, I found medical officers, doctors and general public telling their own experience of cure from diseases, I started the three basic pranayams since last 10 days only from 5am to 6 am only. Now my bp is normal, FBS has gone down to 99 and weight gone down from 105 kg to 102 ks, I am 62+ and 6′2″ tall.

I am around 60Y old. I have been suffering from diabetic and high blood pressure disorders. I take tablets for BP and Humulin insulin (12 Units in the morning and 6 Units in the evening).
Recently, ultra-sound and CT Scan indicated that I have a stone (14mm in size) in my gall bladder and a large growth at the head of the pancreas.
The large growth (around 14-15mm in size) at the head of the pancras which diverted the biles to the blood stream instead of the intestines leading to jaundice. This has now been solved by opening the bile duct using the SEMS (19 May 2007). The Bilrubin Content has come down from a ver high level to 1.8.
The biopsy (brush samples on 18 May 2007) and full samples on 6 Jun 2007 results could not confirm if the growth is malignant. The doctors are, therefore, are not very sure but suggest that I should go in for chemotherapy.
I am having very weak health conditions. My present weight is less than 50kg.

Baba……..I would request you to provide some easy way to come out of regular and sever dandruff problem as my skin is dry and dull throughout the year and have dandruff and sever eaching problem from last 15 years………. Curd and lemon and many dandruff shampoo I tried but nothing works for me……………is there any Ayurvedic treatment / Pranayam for treating hair loss & sever dandruff problem ? There is absolutely no words to express my feelings for Swamiji. All i can say is,because of him and his Pranayama i am ALIVE today. I was being treated for elevated prolactin level since 1998 to 2001. Though doctors told, it happens because of pituitary tumor but my CT scan report had came normal, but vision of my eye sight was not good. Due to the side effects of those medicines my digestive system became so week that there was a time when i was not even able to eat a single grain of rice and constantly felt nauseating, vomiting and things went worse from time to time(2001-2004).Because of severe acidity i was prescribed some powerful medicines and i remember the doctor had told me, you have to take these medicines for rest of your life. I was not able to sleep also. And doctor prescribed me some sleeping pills for somedays. Thats when I changed the doctor. After undergoing through various tests, which includes Endoscopy, Colonoscopy,Barium X-ray, MRI scan of brain, blood tests. Every report came normal. This doctor asked me to start taking laxative as she felt i have motility issue of my intestine and i have Irritable bowel syndrome and thats the best option she has for me. For almost 1year i took laxative before going to bed. Initially it seemed to work fine, then its effect slowed down little bit but later that also didnot help me at all. and again the same feeling of nauseating, no apetite, vomiting…..Many times i felt i will suicide so that i will not bother my parents anymore. And thats when my mother came across Swami Ramdevji’s program on Sanskar channel back in 2003. My Maa started doing it as she had BP and snoring issues. Let me tell you when she sleeps, she snores so badly that, i cannot even sleep on the other bedroom. But within one and half weeks of doing Pranayama her snoring went away just like that, and after few months her BP medicines reduced to half the tablet from 2 tablets. That motivated me to start doing Pranayama. After 1 week of doing Pranayama i stopped prescription medicines for acidity. Though i was skeptical about effects of Pranayama, and i had no choice but to start doing it immediately as i was getting week because i was not able to eat. At first i used to do 1000 times Kapalbhati Pranayama and many times i skipped Anulom Vilom (My aggressive version of doing Pranayama…bad). But gradully i realized i need not have to experiment on myself and Anulom Vilom is eqally important and i have to be very disciplined. I dont have tobe in a hurry when doing Pranayama. Its very very tough to be disciplined. But one should not give up trying though. Anyway,soon i sincerly did all the Pranayama. And the result is, I am writting this and I am alive today. I had stopped taking Laxatives since 2005 Nov/Dec. No medicines for acidity soon after i started doing Pranayama. My diet is vegetarian, i do not drink cold drinks, tea or coffee as well. For me, Ramdevji Maharaj is God. No One can Love him more than i do. I lOVE YOU Ramdevji Maharaj, I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO..much. I have felt God through You. When i look at him, i feel if God would come down to earth in human form, he would look like him… Oh My God, i can keep on writting. But at the end, i would say, God is there and he wants us to be happy by being healthy. And thats why he sent us a Saint Ramdevji Maharaj. I Love You so much Ramdevji, My Pranam to you.

I had a PCOD problem earlier. I took medicine s from your Ashram. It has been cured now. With the medicines I did Yoga and the problem was cured. But I still have a lot of hairs on my Face although it has been reduced. Please suggest what to do and what pranayams to do.
I also had stomach ulcer which had been cured but the problem has reoccured and causes a lot of pain although I avoid red chilli powde, fried stuff etc. I even have cold milk. Please help me, pls. I am in a lot of problem.

We have consulted so many orthopadiac surgeons and not finding it as much advantageous, When she use the pain killers she feels better once if she stops or use less power than that she suffers from pain like anythings. She has swelling in wach and every joints her legs and her hands including her fingers have more swelling and even she cannot fold the fingers as well (due to swelling and pain). Not finding any direction for the treatement. Till now I did not try any other treatements than Hollopathy. I dont want to loose hope. I want to see her as she was earlier. I want her to get cured of this problem. Can you kindly mail me any solution for my mom’s problem. Till now she never practiced any kind of yoga or pranayam, If you suggest her for pranayam, please tell me where do I get those CDs as well.
