Bhisham Agnihotri Ji introduced mananiya K S Sudarshan Ji at Dharma Summit held in NJ on August 13-15, 2005
Sudarshan Ji begins by saying “I am not an intellectual”, rather I am an implementor of the ideas from great intellectuals … We hoped that things would change after the Indian Independence but that didn’t happen … Nehru was the last Britisher to rule India, therefore nothing at all changed … we are still in grip of a education system which has cut us of from our culture and history … today school books say that Guru Teg Bhadur was a robber in Panjab! … Organization started by RSS chief Golwalkar Ji in 1950-60s, such as Viswa Hindu Parishad, Bhartiya Majdoor Sangh, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Vanvyasi Kalyan Ashram are number 1 in their field! Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s 1st Global conference brought all the Hindu leaders together after 1500 years! Last time all the Shankracharyas came together was during the time of Samrat Harshawardhan in 648 A. D …. Achievement of Hindu society in India such as destruction of Babri structure and Pokhran test have made the Hindu proud all over the world. … In India the public will defeat the terrorism!

I would hardly agree with a man like k s sudarshan on anything.. not to mention his expert comments on history. He is only an engineer from a mediocre institute, and not the least bit a qualified historian or sociologist to make such remarks upon nehru or guru teg bahadur (whatever the history books of this nation say). If he had his way, im sure gandhi, bose, shastri and even sardar patel would disappear from the history books within the next 100 years. I would rather have my history written by a man who has lost all his memory than have it dictated by a person like sudarshan (atleast i would be sure it is unbiased even if completely imaginary). The intellectuals he seems to follow are mostly nothing more than religious fanatics like himself. I dont feel at all proud of the futile exercises in violence like the pokhran tests(it was nothing to be proud about. india had already proved its nuclear capability earlier while indira gandhi was the prime minister).Instead i feel ashamed that a religion that has withstood the most aggressive attacks on it for the longest times, that has taught peace to the world, has suddenly has ended up being the private property of a few hooligans like sudarshan.
Sudarshan talks about taking hinduism to america on one hand and then screams bloody murder when someone paints pictures of ganesh and shiva on bikinis and slippers. who gave him the right to speak for hindus of the world?
All in all, I would appeal to any hindu (or anyone reading this) to ignore sudarshan and his cronies (or anyone like him claiming to represent any religion) and get on with your lives peacefully.

he has said in public. Such organisations as the he heads [RSS] etc, should be outlawed as terrorist organisations in India [and their branches abroad]. I am surprised by his remarks. He says Hindus the world over should be proud of destroying the Babri Mosque. Is the guy out of his wits? Hindus should be proud of what? Pulling down another people’s religous shrine? What filth and rubbish! What would happen to Muslim and Christian leaders if they said that in public?

I guess you can’t expect people to understand much about RSS or K.S. Sudarshan ji when media has labled these people “terrorist” for buring Greeting Cards on Valentine’s day.
Yes, I am sure the above posters completely understand that there is no difference between burning hallmark cards and bringing down World Trade Center killing 3000 people.
I guess the above reader forgot to read even the basic of the Ayodhya issue. The issues is that Babur pulled down the temple to create a mosque. These mosque are as much as symbol of hatered as was the statue of Saddam Hussain in Iraq that was brought down.
I don’t hope anybody else to understand the gist of this issue, when the people are not willing to look beyond the hatered spewd by Media.

I am suprised that people from USA itself are posting such comments which mark Hinduism as an intolerant religion. There is nothing great achieved by demolition of religious shrines and mass killing of people. This will only show Hinduism in bad light and jeopardize the minority of the nation. India has since long been a symbol of unity in diversity. We cannot afford to lose it in the hands of some crooked politicians who care more about numbers in the vote bank, than thinking good about the nation. The latest movie ‘Rang De Basanti’ does point to it. This is exactly how these cynical parties like RSS propagate this kind of extremism into youth. I agree that our culture needs to be protected, however it cannot be done by force. I can only be done by creating awareness of the greatness of culture among people. Tagging Muslims as ‘Pakistanis’ won’t do, as the character in the movie realizes in a hard way. I like that scene in the movie when the supposedly ‘Sangh’ nationalist says to a Muslim - “Maine hamesha….” it was damn emotional. I would recommend that movie for every Indian.

First and foremost requirement for coming at a conclusion needs an unbiased and free thinking. I am surprised by the comments made by the supposedly educated people who seems to be suffering from preconceived notions about RSS. They fail to see the bigger issues here. Issue is that there is only one country in the world that is predominantly Hindu and that is Bharat varsha(Leaving aside Nepal which is a very small country). Bharat varsh has always been tolerant to different views and opinions about anything and everything. That has been possible only because Bharat is predominantly Hindu because hindu dharma teaches you tolerance. Unfortunately, after independance, we were never intellectually independent. We were never able to propogate that was ours, Thanks mainly to Mr. Nehru and his brigade. Whether it were our culture, beliefs or our legacy. Anything that belonged to the Hindus was labelled as anti-secular. Our education system in India teaches us that we had been slaves and predominantly non-progressive. You don’t have to be a historian or educational expert to understand that. RSS and its sister organizations are condemning these type of efforts. And I think, there is nothing wrong in that. We are just trying to propogate what is Ours because it is our country. We are going to hand our Bharat to our children. It depends on us what legacy we leave for them. RSS is working towards for a future where Hindus don’t suffer from the hypocrisies that he has to face everyday. RSS has never asked Muslims or Christians to leave Bharat. But it has just stressed on every Christian and Muslim to regard Bharat varsha as their motherland. Is that too much to ask?? Regd. Babri musjid demolition:–> It was an act to take what was ours. Let me explain it with a simple analogy:-> Assume that you live in a big house with many rooms. You have a puja ghar in which your family pays respect to your ancesstors by paying daily homage to their photographs. Suddenly someday, some Gundas(Ruffian) come to your house, snatches away your home and becomes the head. To make sure that even your coming generations remember that he came and ruled us, he goes to your pujaghar and puts shoe garland on your ancesstors’ pics. You were slaves at that time, so you couldnot do anything about that act. Time passed and you became stronger and resourceful. What should you do then? Leave that shoe garland hanging on the Pic in the Puja ghar or claim what was yours and wash away that sign of insult and shame. I will leave the answers to the gentlemen’s intellectual self. I know about my decision. I won’t even take a moment to remove that sign of shame from my Puja Ghar. This was what happened in Ayodhya when a major section of Hindu society took the initiative and reclaimed what was theirs. Being simple is good but being simpleton is not. Make sure we don’t become simpletons in trying to display our much talked extreme tolerance. We have to be proud of what we are and what our legacy is. RSS has been doing just that for last 75 years. For FYI- there are about 3000 mosques in india that are build after demolition of temples. We are not asking for all those 3000 temples but just 3. We have acquired one, we will get the remaining in time. It doesnot matter what some intellectuals think about that or interpret in their own “intellectual” light. This act of reasserting my respect doenot bemean me or make me any less hindu. I will request readers of this site to really understand what our legacy and culture has been before they go ahead and post their preconceived notions supported by their shallow arguments and “Pseudo-secular” views. Ans: Mr. Rao, if it was futile exercise why did USA bark. Mr Rao, it is must that in Nuclear Tech, you should have sequence of tests to get credible data to build Nucelar Tech to act as a deterent. KS Sudarshan is the perfect example how intolerant the hindus are. However, it’s a good thing that the Hindus are coming towards Islam. I think most of the above commentors are not aware of Mr.Sudarsan and his Charactor. Normally, Nobody considers what he talks it remain in his group only. Even in RSS itself he nurtured enemies by his talks. Better not to listen such types talks. It is not worth for the hinduism.
Some of them are written that they are ashamed of his talks. Do you think because his talks you will loss some thing?. Instead you must prepared to be a role model to show the world how the perfect hinduism is. Let him talk rubbishs the other side. We must adopt the way shown great Swami Vivekananda. Stop abusing and try to let us know each other. That is the only thing help the growth and greatness of hinduism. Let the hardcore remain there to deal with hardcores of the sides.
Hinduism to the world still there where Swami Vivekananda stopped. He left us little early but there were no one to undertake pilotage of Hinduism as he did. Politician in India is looking towards draw something from the pockets of poorers. Instead of enriching hinduism and they are tarnishing the face. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa was faced lots of hardships under british colonialism. But never fed up instead he was taking the hinduism into more heights. I feel proud to be hindu. My belief will not be depends such hardcore’s speech. I am always inspired by the word of Swami Vivekananda. I feel proud to be part of the great religion which taught tolerance and Acceptance.
I request all to do your best for Hinduism. Teach the verses of Bhagawat Geetha to as many as you can. By that way you can save the country from such hooligans. We don’t need to answer for someone’s dogmatism as well.

My father first encountered casteism when he went to a tea stall outside his native village in Thiruveli district of Tamil nadu.he shopkeeper inquired about his caste and then offered tea in a dirtey coconut shell.Tea was served in steel tumbler only to the forward castes(FC)My father’s uncles and aunts were aged over 50 but FC kids aged 10 to 12 years would stand outside our street and summon them by their first names. Goverment buses in those days would come only up to the FC streets as the drivers refused to enter our streets.
My father tried to enter the village school many times but he was driven away. The teachers were all brahmin. Brahmin childrens sat on mats, children from other castes sat on the ground while dalit children were shooed away. When my father discussed this issue with his elders, he was informed that brahmin children were entitled toall these benefits by birth.
My father however observed that most of the brahmin kids were lazy, some were plain stupid and one was even mentally retarded. But, they all went to school and sat on mates while brilliant dalit kids were kept out of school.
At the time of independence, 99% of all goverment functionaryes of Tamil Nadu were brahmin whereas they formed only 3% of the population. Rajgopalachari started in the ocations of their parents, that is, children of cobblers should be trained to mend shoesets, but he never talked about it after Periyar countered that the children of brahmin should only be trained to beg for alms.
In Tamil Nadu,as in all over India, dalit were restricted outside the village limits to their own small clusters.
They are denied basic facilites like well water, education and temple entry. They are called by derogatory names, Dalit women are routinely raped. They are supposed to expose the upper half of their bodies.(in the presence of higher castes) In FC-dominated villages, they are made to work as slaves. They are not paid anything. They are given enoughcereals to survive,They are naturally expacted to other sexual services to the FCs.Dalit men are not allowed to ride bicycles.They are also not allowed to fold their ‘vesties’ in the presence of FCs. Dalit children are abused by thair FC classmates and harassed by their FC techers. Dalit kids who make it to the IIT’s subjected to relentless abuse by vicious brahmin kids.These institutions are known as ‘iyer iygner technology’ institutes.
My father felt insultet by the discrimination. He often discussed these tales of humiliation with me. I often felt that true equality would be possible only if the FC children were denied education for 1000 years and our caste people were given 99% of all government posts.The FC children had enjoyed these ‘reservation/quota benefits’ becouse of their birth and not on account of ‘merit’. Dalit have enjoyed reservation for about 60 years, whereas the FCs have enjoyed for more then 2000 years.
